In your face.. Foxy!

This was certainly one of those nights that I seriously wished I had cable at home, I was struggling to keep up with the election results online by juggling between different sources. Most of the news outlets did a decent job in trying to present the results as they came, what I missed the most is the comments and reactions from the political punditry. As soon as I saw Ohio tip towards Mr. O, I was thrilled and started cheering while my son was sincerely doing his homework. I really wanted to tune into Fox news to see their reaction but was able to catch a glimpse of the mockery between Karl Rove & the decision desk about declaring Ohio. It was quite evident that it was very hard to digest for Mr. Rove, who tried to exploit the new rules of the  Citizens United to oust President Obama.

As much as you teach your kids how not to hate even your enemies and to be tolerant, it was just too hard not to express today. So, I decided to go all out – Here’s to Mr. Rove and the other hate mongers on the right.

Behind the Derogatory comments by Ann Cutler, the unimaginable conspiracy theories of Rush Limbaugh and patronizing attitude by the entire right Wing, it was quite a feeling to watch one swing state after another being taken away by the President. Fox News has this new sections called “Bias alert” – Does this have any value when their entire news organization is biased, it might justify some of their ideology.

Truly speaking, it was a perfect Implosion within the Republican party and as Chuck Todd rightly mentioned, they need some soul searching, who the heck is their leader now? Is it seriously going to be John Boehner, the cry baby? The Republican Party today is a lot different and are too far away from their own conservative ideals. It is full of arrogant, hate mongering racists. I don’t hate the republicans but I don’t like the people running that party and their polarized way of things. They are completely biased and least tolerant.

Interestingly, Mitt might land an offer at Fox as Stephanie Miller was predicting. The only thing I liked in Mitt’s entire 6 yr campaign stretch was his conceding speech, where he made some sense. He sounded genuine and I felt empathetic for his loss.

On the other hand, Hats off to the amazing campaign that the team O put together. I was quite amazed with the strategy on how this election was all about Demographics and how they targeted those demographics, state by state, county by county, region by region and marched towards the finish line.

Congratulations to Mr. President!! Let’s move this country forward!
